We wish you all a happy and successful year ahead. You will be able to share your good times with the After Hours Big Band in a variety of venues, some new and some returning.
C’mon with us back to the Lion Pub & Grill on Saturday, January 28. Good times indeed! Those of you who have been to the Lion before know it to be a rollicking, energetic party place with fine food and friendly staff. You can choose to watch the After Hours band from a few feet away, by the bar, or listen and talk in the comfort of your own booth and table.
The band will play from 9:00 to midnight, with singers George and Jess fronting new material that alternately swings and rocks. You’ll hear more than 50 songs! That’s the Lion Pub & Grill, 1091 Gorham Street (at Leslie) in Newmarket, January 28.
Next up will be a couple of shows at private venues. We’ll play at The Renoir retirement home, 270 Doak Lane in Newmarket, for their Mardi Gras night February 23. In Markham, we’ll serenade The Swan Club, 100 Lakeside Vista Way, on April 20. That one will be open to the public – you can buy tickets for a swingin’ April evening from Dianne Sweeney at the Swan Club, email@example.com.
Then comes Mother’s Day! On Sunday May 14, the band will entertain at a new venue — the Aw Shucks restaurant in Aurora – for a Mother’s Day dinner and concert in the evening.
There will be more announcements to come. It will be a busy year for York Region’s premier big band. Let’s get through this dark winter and out into the sunshine! The music will help, it always does.
